It is the municipal area with the largest geographical region on the island, and its history on record dates back to 1259. During the 20th century, it became increasingly popular for its shoe manufacturing, along with the services of its craftsmen dedicated to stone, wood, and ironwork, without forgetting its agricultural heritage of growing both almonds and apricots. Nowadays it has a vibrant atmosphere with many shops, services, and infrastructure, making it an interesting option for those looking for a quieter area, without giving up the comfort of having the accessability to the beaches, capital Palma, and airport.
