Reliance is the finest evolution of Heesen’s acclaimed 55 Steel Series and the sixth hull delivered by the shipyard. Her fast-displacement steel hull by Van Oossanen delivers class-leading performance and range, while a shark-grey profile by Omega Architects and Luca Dini interior offer a sophisticated blend of Italian design and Dutch engineering. Built on Heesen’s 55 Steel platform, she delivers the space and feel of a 60-metre yacht within a 55-metre design, refined through successive builds and shaped by owner experience.Designed by Frank Laupman of Omega Architects, Reliance’s shark-grey hull and vertical windows capture the bold and balanced profile that defines the 55 Steel line. A distinctive “shark tooth” in the superstructure overhang is a subtle but unmistakable Heesen signature. Outdoor life unfolds across four decks and includes a number of owner-led enhancements. A 110m² sundeck is among the largest in her class, complete with a jacuzzi, teppanyaki bar, and generous sunpads. The upper deck aft is arranged for dining and evening cocktails, while the main deck aft offers a relaxed al fresco lounge. At the stern, the beach club has been re-imagined with a wellness focus. It features Technogym equipment, a sauna, and hammam, all naturally lit through glass panels set into the transom door.Reliance marks Heesen’s first collaboration with Luca Dini Design & Architecture, a partnership that brought a sense of calm and understated elegance to the 55m Steel platform and earned the yacht a nomination at the 2024 World Superyacht Awards. The palette is light and natural: Tay wood, marine leather, and stone, offset by smoky mirrored surfaces, dark oak and bronze detailing. The main salon is arranged around a formal dining area for twelve, its bronze-mirrored ceiling panels amplifying light and space. Above, a full-beam sky lounge is a more intimate setting with bar, sofas, and floor-to-ceiling glass opening onto the aft terrace.Reliance accommodates 12 guests in six cabins, including an 82-square-metre owner’s apartment that sets the standard for the series. Spanning the full beam forward on the main deck, it features large opening windows, a private study, and an en suite finished in exquisite hand-selected marble, with a freestanding bathtub, twin rainfall showers, his-and-hers sinks, and separate dressing rooms. Four guest cabins are located on the lower deck, configured as two doubles and two twins, while a VIP cabin is found on the upper deck.Constructed with a steel hull and aluminium superstructure, Reliance employs Heesen’s Fast Displacement Hull Form (FDHF) by Van Oossanen, delivering efficiency and long-range capability across a variety of cruising conditions. Powered by IMO Tier III-compliant engines, she achieves a 4,500-nautical-mile range at cruising speed, with a 3.17-metre draft. Reliance is run by a crew of 13 with operational areas designed for extended cruising and charter efficiency.
